NTPC Limited has informed the Exchange vide its letter dated January 29, 2010 that "Coal Based Unit#5 (490 MW) of National Capital Thermal Power Project, Dadri of NTPC Ltd. located in Uttar Pradesh has been successfully commissioned today i.e. 29.01.2010. It has reached full load of 490MW at 1218 Hours today. This is the first unit planned to provide power to Common Wealth Games to be organised in Delhi in October 2010. With the commissioning of this Unit, the total installed capacity of the Company has crossed 31000 MW and has become 31134 MW."
