Dena Bank has informed the Exchange that "In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3)(h) and (3-A) of Section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 / 1980 read with sub-clause (1) of clause 3 of the Nationalised Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970 / 1980, the Central Government vide notification No.F. No.9/22/2006-BO-I dated December 31, 2007 had nominated Shri M.Surya Naik, as a part time non official Director on the Board of the Bank, for a period of two years from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier. As per above notification, the term of Shri M. Surya Naik ceases as a Director on the Board of the Bank from 31/12/2009".
